Regine…Most Requested at LKK Atrium Dec. 4

Regine Velasquez, dubbed as “Asia’s Songbird” and awarded “Favorite Philippine Artist” twice at the MTV Asia Awards will hold her “Regine…Most Requested” concert in Cagayan de Oro City on December 4 at the Limketkai Atrium. A national singing champ at age 14, Regine hasn’t failed to inspire legions of fans in her more than 20 years in the business.

National Choral Competition auditions in CDO set Nov. 12

The Manila Broadcasting Company has launched a nationwide search for the best choirs in the country to compete in the MBC National Choral Festival from December 15 to 19, 2009.  Grand finals will be held at the Aliw Theater.  P100,000 will be at stake for each champion chorale in the Children’s Choir and Open categories. Auditions for choirs based in Cagayan de Oro City and nearby areas will be held at Philtown Hotel on November 12 beginning at 9:00 AM.

“Pilipinas Got Talent” to hold auditions in CDO on Nov. 25-27

Auditions for “Pilipinas Got Talent” in Cagayan de Oro will be held on November 25 to 27. No venue was announced. “Pilipinas Got Talent” is the Philippine version of the Got Talent franchise (America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, etc.) and will be shown on ABS-CBN next year.

BARELY a month old, it has extreme sports enthusiasts already abuzz because it is touted as the longest zipline in Asia.

Only an hour and 15 minute-drive from this city, the Dahilayan Adventure Park’s Zip Zone in Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, is  adjacent to the northern slope of Mt. Kitanglad.
